
Tropical whiteweed / Calendar
Tropical whiteweed, scientifically known as Ageratum conyzoides, is a plant species that is native to tropical and subtropical regions. In the United States, it is considered an invasive plant and observed in southern states in the summer season.
The blooming season of this plant in summer months, from June to September. During this time, the plant produces small, white or purple flowers that are arranged in bunches. Optimal blooming happens in July and August.
Flowering period of this plant can change based on conditions and location. Generally, few weeks are needed for full flowering.
To promote longer flowering, provide adequate sunlight, water, and nutrients. Removing faded flowers can also extend blooming time. Well-drained soil and avoiding excess fertilizer also helps healthy, long-lasting flowers.
